8 April '08 Talk by Bill Coley, CEO British Energy Group plc
The Group is hosting a community meeting to hear Bill Coley, Chief Executive Officer of British Energy Group plc, talk on "Sizewell C: a place in new nuclear build?"

The event is being held at the Saxmundham Market Hall on the evening of Monday 28 April 2008, and is open to all. Doors open at 7pm for light refreshments with Mr Coley's talk commencing at 7.30pm.

25 June '07 Presentation by Dr John Large and EGM
The Group hosted a community event on 12 July 2007, where independent nuclear consultant Dr John Large gave an "Assessment of the radiological consequences of releases from existing and future nuclear power plants at Sizewell". Approximately 80 people were present at the event.

Prior to this meeting, Richard Smith was co-opted on to the Group for a period of twelve months and elected as Group Chairman for the same period.

14 May '07 Sizewell A end-use consultation
At the 8 March 2007 meeting, the Group discussed its recommendation on the end-use for the Sizewell A site. The recommendation made is that: "The Sizewell Stakeholder Group advises the Nuclear Decommissioning
Authority that its view as to the final end state of the Sizewell A site, informed and reinforced by the outcome of the public and stakeholder consultation, is that, after the removal of all radioactive waste arising at the site, it should be delicensed and used for the purposes of recreation and nature conservation with public access, as soon after decommissioning as is practicable."

20 Dec '06 Sizewell A end-use consultation
The consultation has now closed. An interim report was given by the consultants at the Group's meeting on 8 December 2006. Their final report will be given at the 8 March 2007 meeting, in time for the Group to make a recommendation to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority by the end of March 2007.
